Our salon is a beautiful blend of pure glamour and gorgeous greenery to give the feel of being in a homely environment where you can just chill. Our multi-faceted salon has everything you can possibly think of when it comes hair, beauty and soul revival. As you enter the space you will be greeted with a friendly face and the beautiful smell of Doterra essential oils instantly feeling peaceful and calm.
We also invite you to enjoy either our gorgeous outdoor oasis or we also have a VIP room for weddings so you and your bridal party can enjoy getting your hair and makeup done in the same space.
Hot Locs was started by owner Demelza Potiuch in 1996 and it has continued to grow.
At the age of 17 Demelza knew she wanted to make people feel amazing and really step into the best version of themselves. Within the first 8 years it became clear that to grow and move in the direction she was pursuing the location needed to change.
Demelza went on to find her new premise in the historical beach lands area. 23 Burges Street soon became a place of expansion and growth starting out with 56 square metres of space, Hot Locs continued to grow with more beauty and spa rooms being added on and then with the iconic deli space up for grabs, a leap of faith was taken creating the divine main room with all the glitz and glam it is today. Demelza really wanted to create a destination salon, somewhere where the client feels like they are somewhere else in the world. And this is what you will feel when you step in the salon.
